This coming weekend is our October fun fly weekend which will include the eGlider competition at 10am on the Sunday morning. Members are welcome to camp at the field over the weekend with a pizza night planned for the Saturday night. Sunday includes a club supplied BBQ lunch as a thank you to all involved in the recent earthworks project and the assembly of the new garage. All members are welcome to participate in the BBQ.
The agenda for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday 10th October
8am – 11am – Social flying with all types of models welcome
11am – 12:30pm – Control line on the control line circle and cross strip gliding coordinated with the control line pilots
12:30pm – 1:30pm – Gold Coin donation BBQ ($3 per person)
1:30pm – 5:00pm – Social flying including all forms of Cubs
5:00pm – 6:00pm – Control line session
6:30 pm – Pizza dinner. Orders will be taken and delivery or pickup organized
Stay overnight at the field if you can with flying available until sunset.
Sunday 11th October
9am – 10am – Social flying. Noting that a committee meeting will also be held at this time.
10am – 12:30pm – eGlider Competition. (a small working bee will be held during this time to clear the remaining rocks along the new fenceline)
12:30 – 1:30pm – Club sponsored BBQ and thank you to all involved in the earthworks and garage assembly
1:30pm – 4:00pm – Afternoon of social flying including, combat (Lismore Wonders), Scanners (Bruce, Clive, others?) and twins. Those present can decide if another control line session will be included
The club BBQ can be used by members the members staying overnight for breakfast or other meals. The mowing team is planning a full mow and tidy up on Thursday in preparation for the weekend and all kitchen supplies and drinks will be re stocked.
